What is Twestival?
A Twestival (or Twitter-Festival) is a global movement which uses the power of social media to organize offline events that mobilize communities in support of a local cause. Twestival was born out of the idea that if communities were able to collaborate on an international scale, but working from a local level, it could have a spectacular impact.
Since 2009, over 200 cities have participated in Twestival, raising $1.75 million for over 275 important causes like clean water and education. Twestival events are coordinated 100% by volunteers and 100% of the funds raised through ticket sales and donations go directly to support charitable projects.
What Makes Twestival Phx Special?

“The money raised through Twestival Phoenix allowed us to grow our Family Resource Center programming, including parenting classes, workshops, children’s playgroups, support groups, and other resources. Support from Twestival Phoenix also helped us to provide medical care for children living in our emergency children’s shelter, including complete medical checkups performed by our Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, necessary medical treatments, speech and hearing screenings, immunizations, and counseling services. We are so grateful for the support we received from Twestival Phoenix and had a fantastic time meeting new people and enjoying great food and entertainment. ” – Rachel Dixon, Child Crisis Center
